Super73 has launched its latest e-bike and it’s more mini-moto than it is boring commuter.
The first in a line of new models, the MZFT sits between the brand’s youth range and its main Z, S and R- series models. It’s aimed at appealing to younger riders and e-bike novices, and as a result, has a much friendlier 27-inch seat height that promotes inner-city and extra-urban shenanigans.
Weighing in at 38.5 kilos, it’s powered by a 500W motor that will help it reach speeds of up to 20mph. Between 15-20 miles of range is available from the standard-fit 520Wh 52V battery pack, which isn’t much but this is more designed for fun, as opposed to covering big distances.
Fit the optional second battery module (sold separately) and that riding capacity is doubled. Super73 claims the bike’s brand-new powertrain is also better equipped to cope with acceleration up hills, but full performance specs haven’t yet been revealed.
Despite the diminutive package, the MZFT is fitted with twin-piston hydraulic brakes, LED front and rear lights, internal lockable storage and wheels wrapped in aggressive Vee Jakal tyres. The frame is offered in two paint finishes: Cullen Berry and Titanium Ore.

Super73 MZFT pricing and availability are yet to be announced, but it is rumoured to cost around $1,995, making it one of the most affordable way to join the Super73 family.
